We had a lovely time! The cozy single room was comfy and had a neat private bathroom, and we loved chilling out in the sun terrace and garden area while sipping on coffee. Just a heads up, the walls were a bit thin and we could hear the TV next door, but it didn't ruin our stay at all! 😊

The Cocks in Arnside offers stunning views over the estuary. My room was dual aspect, filling the space with natural light and showcasing breathtaking mountain vistas. The bed in the deluxe queen room was comfy, ensuring a decent night's sleep. The staff stood out with their warm, welcoming nature. They were attentive without being overbearing, making the atmosphere feel inviting. I enjoyed the pub food—especially the hearty breakfast. Plenty of options and freshly made. we faced a few hiccups. The parking situation could be better. finding a spot was challenging at times. Some areas of the hotel showed signs of wear, needing a refresh—not a deal-breaker, but worth noting. Noise from the corridor was a bit disruptive early in the morning, likely due to housekeeping moving around.

The location offers stunning views of the Kent Estuary, making it a perfect spot for those who appreciate nature. The pub dining area exudes charm, with a lively atmosphere that highlights local talent during live music nights.
The room decor could use a refresh. a bit tired and not the most inviting sight. The mattress left much to be desired. I woke up every morning feeling like I slept on a rock. Shower pressure was a weak trickle, complicating my morning routine. I also found the breakfast options a bit limiting for the price. I would have appreciated more variety, especially for eggs. Noise travels easily between rooms, which might disrupt your peaceful retreat. Lastly, the parking situation can become tricky during busier times.

Solo travelers who seek comfort will enjoy
I had a cosy little room with everything I needed, plenty of tea bags, milk, and even biscuits. The staff was incredibly helpful. I called in last minute for breakfast and they obliged, charging me a minimal fee for it.
It wasn't exactly inexpensive, but still reasonable considering the quality of service.
